Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) announces today that Faurecia, a Forvia group company, one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, has expanded its use of Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform to optimize its logistics arrival of the guided vehicles. Faurecia is tackling the growing complexity of the supplier manufacturing environment by improving logistics flows, increasing efficiency, reducing costs and delivering products to customers on time in a more sustainable way.

Faurecia uses the experience of Dassault Systèmes’ “On Target Vehicle Launch” industrial solution based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to determine and validate the best logistics scenarios for make-to-order assembly lines. Faurecia can simulate and visualize AGV routing with respect to workstations, resource availability, assembly constraints and variabilities, balancing and line flow in a virtual twin experience, before starting the production for a customer.

Automotive OEM manufacturing environments are increasingly complex, producing more product variants for concurrent programs under tighter deadlines, while managing last-minute engineering changes in increasingly automated factories. .

Optimizing AGV routing is a key step in Faurecia’s digital factory program, initiated by its Clean Mobility business and now used to transform production processes for seats, interiors and electronics for “driving cockpits”. future” connected, personalized and predictive automobiles in response to these trends.
