Check Point Software Technologies: Now available under the Software Licensing Program with the State of California

Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions globally, announced that it has obtained Software License Program (SLP) agreements from the state of CA through its six channel partners to help ease the complexities of purchasing security products. The agreements provide state and local agencies with a streamlined method to procure software and security solutions to help digitally transform the industry.

The State of California created the Software License Program (SLP) to provide any California city, county, state agencies and departments, special districts, and educational agencies with the ability to purchase software, such than Check Point, at deep discounts. The SLP program was established in January 1994 and is administered by the Department of General Services, Procurement Division.

Our recent mid-year security report highlights that ransomware now affects 1 in 40 organizations per week, marking a 59% year-over-year increase. As cyberattacks become more frequent and complex, state agencies must make it a priority to put in place a comprehensive cybersecurity policy. Check Point has one of the largest security technology portfolios in the industry, enabling increased security posture hardening to secure California agencies and prevent malicious attacks.

“Cyberattacks are becoming entrenched as weapons at the state level, making state and local agencies key targets for cybercriminals,” said Frank Rauch, head of global sales. “We are honored to have secured SLP agreements with our partners so that together we can champion California agencies and deliver highly rated cybersecurity solutions.”

All partners with a Check Point SLP contract are high-level resellers with extensive knowledge and capabilities to meet customers’ cybersecurity, cloud, and endpoint protection needs. Through the six distribution partners, Check Point will work strategically with any state department or agency, regardless of budget constraints. Key partners include:

  • Aurora Systems Consulting

  • CarlNTech LLC

  • Novacoast

  • Optiv

  • Six Degrees Inc.

  • MCI Communications Service LLC dba Verizon Business Services
