Football welcomes 14 newcomers to the program

Seven home games await the 2022 Tigers.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri football welcomed 14 new student-athletes to the program with the start of the spring semester on Tuesday.

Early high school registrants include Luther Burden (WR), Armand Membou (OL), Mekhi Miller (WR), Marcus Scott II (DB), Xavier Simmons (LB) and Max Whisner (TE).

“It’s just a great feeling to see our student-athletes back on campus, in our facilities,” the head coach said. Eliah Drinkwitz noted. “Seeing our newcomers enjoy the camaraderie and show camaraderie with our alumni is motivating and energizing. We are ready to work.”

Mizzou is also welcoming eight transfers to the program ahead of the 2022 season. In total, the Tigers have added eight new student-athletes on offense and six on defense.

2022 season tickets are on sale now and represent the best value for Tigers fans heading to Faurot Field this fall.
