Full Sail University Launches New Bachelor’s Program in User Experience Science – WFTV

ORLANDO, Fla. — Full Sail University has announced the launch of its User Experience Science degree program.

The 29-month online degree program provides students with a hands-on, project-based learning experience that will equip them with theoretical and technical knowledge in industries impacted by interactive media.

“The need for user experience professionals continues to grow as the role of multimedia interfaces becomes more prominent,” said Rebecca Leis, Ph.D., Full Sail University program director on the undergraduate program in user experience. “Students who complete the program will play an important role in how we interact with technology in the future.”

User experience and user interface design are the major focus areas of the degree program.

The courses will help students acquire the skills necessary to become user experience professionals.

Here are some of the programs offered:

· Design for Platform Standards – The course teaches students to analyze the usability and visual design of a variety of interactive multimedia products.

Information Visualization – During the course, students will use their visual design and user experience skills to create visualizations based on case studies from various industries.

· Psychology of Perception – Students will learn how biological components affect the way we perceive and process information. Particular emphasis will be placed on theories of perception, information clustering, subjective coherence and the contrast effect.

· User Experience (UX)/User Interface (UI) for Games – In the course, students will analyze the usability and visual design of gaming products.

According to a press release, students in the User Experience Undergraduate Program will learn to analyze and experiment with theory, techniques, tools and software and acquire the skills necessary to begin their careers as user researchers, analysts of usability or interaction, visual and user. experienced designers.
