Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato Family Medicine Residency Program is Highly Ranked by Doximity

MANKATO, Minnesota ― Mayo Clinic Health System’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Mankato was ranked #2 in the State of Minnesota, #5 in the Midwest, and #19 in the United States on Residency Navigator 2022 by Doximity.

The four Midwest family medicine residency programs in Mayo at Eau Claire, La Crosse, Mankato, and Rochester occupy four of the top five spots in the highly competitive Midwest region. For the first time, the three established programs in Eau Claire, La Crosse and Rochester all ranked in the top 10 nationally out of 719 programs, and the programs in Mankato and Jacksonville, Fla., ranked in the top 20 nationally.

The ranking of the program is determined by three factors:

  1. Satisfaction of residents and recent graduates.
  2. Reputation among board-certified family physicians.
  3. Objective data, including research results.
