Merryspring Program: Walk ‘n Talk on Identifying and Managing Invasive Plant Species

CAMDEN – Join the Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District (KLSWCD) on Thursday, June 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m., at the Merryspring Nature Center, Camden, for a walk to identify invasive plant species, discuss effective methods to mitigate invasive plants and review tips for promoting a healthy habitat for wildlife. Louisa Crane, program coordinator at KLSWCD led efforts in 2021 on phase two of the invasive plant management plan at Merryspring.

This event is the third in their series of Conservation Landscape Certification (CLC) information this year. Invasive species control is the third core criteria of the CLC program created by Waldo Soil & Water Conservation District and later joined by Knox-Lincoln SWCD in 2021 to expand the program to Knox and Lincoln counties. This new CLC program guides landowners on conservation practices to implement consistently.

This event is free; however, registration is required for in-person attendance (maximum 15). To register for the Invasive Plant Species Walk ‘n Talk, please visit
