Midwest Security Products Joins ABLOY’s National Account Partner Program

ABLOY says it created the National Accounts Partner Program to recognize its integrator partners who demonstrate leadership, unique value-added capabilities and business relationships with critical infrastructure customers in North America.

IRVING, Texas – ABLOY Critical Infrastructure Global Solutions announces that Midwest Security Products has joined its new National Account Partner Program for security system integrators in North America.

Midwest Security Products, based in Sylvania, Ohio, is an access control security solutions provider that counts utilities, enterprises, government and military facilities among its critical infrastructure customers.

ABLOY says it created the National Accounts Partner Program to recognize its integrator partners who demonstrate leadership, unique value-added capabilities and business relationships with critical infrastructure customers in North America.

It also provides access to a variety of benefits that help build their expertise and increase their abilities to customize and deliver advanced ABLOY security technologies.

Doug Schoenrock, Founder and President of Midwest Security Products, says he believes this partnership will benefit his critical infrastructure customers and says the time is right on multiple fronts.

“We have enjoyed our relationship with ABLOY as a strategic partner and their products are always in demand with our customers, especially now with heightened concerns about infrastructure security. We are heavily invested in working with ABLOY to create new opportunities in key markets including clean energy, water treatment and utilities.

Since 1985, Midwest Security Products has provided high security products and consulting services. Its 40,000 square foot facility houses a full production department, in-house engineering and manufacturing, sales and end-user support for national accounts.

The company also provides nationwide installation and troubleshooting service. These capabilities are what set them apart from other integrators and distributors in the security systems industry, says ABLOY.

Jerry Burhans, Managing Director of ABLOY Critical Infrastructure Global Solutions, explains how deep integration of ABLOY technologies with Midwest’s value-added services and solutions can provide a superior solution to customers.

“We are proud to recognize Midwest with this special factory accreditation. They take a totally different approach as they are deeply involved in planning a client’s system from the ground up. Our competence center in Texas supports their engineering department for a complete understanding of our technologies. Add to that their ability to design and manufacture the custom products needed to fully implement a customer solution, and you have something truly unique in this industry.

Schoenrock adds, “We are able to take valuable product technology from ABLOY and build an entirely new product around it to address some unusual security issues that our customers are facing. This often involves harsh weather conditions, especially in open spaces such as wind farms or any operation involving water. Our service also encompasses everything from record keeping and training to system implementation and backend support.

One product that Midwest Security Products cites as being in high demand by its customers is the ABLOY PROTEC2 CLIQ system. It combines both mechanical and electronic aspects consisting of rugged, super weatherproof padlocks that withstand the toughest environments, and keys that provide full access control functionality.

“Midwest Security Products installed PROTEC2 CLIQ, which has helped customers establish full control and comply with new NERC CIP regulations in the utility industry. Whether it’s an access control system on this scale or creating a lock for a very specific purpose, Midwest Security Products and ABLOY have resources together that others cannot match.” says Burhans.
