REIA launches Commercial Agency Engagement Program

REIA Chairman Hayden Groves said Australia’s commercial property sector had suffered major disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was time to focus on supporting the commercial sector .

The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) will launch the REIA Commercial Agency Engagement Program today with the aim of addressing issues facing the Australian commercial real estate sector.

REIA will be hosting free consultation events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane over the next month for trade officers to have their say on what matters most to them in the context of REIA’s national advocacy agenda.

REIA Chairman Hayden Groves said Australia’s commercial property sector is worth almost $1.1 trillion and has just suffered a major disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is time to focus on supporting this important sector of our market.

“REIA, with the support of REIs from our Member States, will solicit views on the impact of post-COVID issues, interest rate hikes and inflation with a view to making the voice of Australian practitioners heard. commercial real estate,” he said.

Part of the REIA 2022-2025 (REIA 2025) strategic plan includes better service to commercial agencies. REIA has therefore partnered with commercial property management software company Re-Leased, to include the important perspectives of Australian commercial property practitioners and provide them with targeted support. .
