Rendered.ai joins Esri Partner Network’s Starter Program to create synthetic data using industry-standard geospatial services and content
Finding and acquiring unbiased data to train algorithmic learning systems is costly and time-consuming and significantly impedes the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies. The Rendered.ai platform as a service enables customers working on artificial intelligence and computer vision (CV) applications to supplement real-world sensor datasets with engineering data that can help reduce bias, improve training accuracy and support innovation.
After successful Earth Observation projects with clients such as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Rendered.ai intends to deepen the company’s capabilities and technology for synthetic data from satellite and airborne training using simulation capabilities ranging from visible light imagery to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).

Based on the partnership activity, Rendered.ai is launching a new synthetic data application, the “Rendered.ai Channel for ArcGIS” which can be explored by users who wish to combine existing satellite imagery with 3D content to generate examples of training data. The channel will be available for demonstration at the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s annual GEOINT symposium, taking place at Aurora, Colorado in April. Integration with ArcGIS will be featured in a tutorial session on creating and using synthetic data for computer vision applications on the Tuesday morning of the event.
