Think big with our essential partner program

Today at Salt Security announced global expansion of our partner program Salt Security Essential. Channel partners have been central to our approach from the start, and just as salt is essential to human life, partners are critical to our growth and success. By unveiling this program globally, we can expand the number of partners who can benefit from partnering with Salt, the company that created the API security market five years ago and has been driving it ever since. .

I’m honored to help roll out this expansion and want to pay tribute to all the great decisions that have come before me. Over the past year, Salt has doubled down on its channel-first strategy, having 100% of new business done through channel partners. The Salt team has also used the past year to invest heavily in channel rewards, channel marketing and higher channel margins. I am here thanks to all the work of Salt and our partners over the past year, especially the work of Sunil Dutt, our EMEA Distribution Manager. Now let’s take it to the next level.

I have a few decades of experience creating channel programs, especially for security companies. Along the way, I learned about other companies’ partner programs. The best ones are built on the essentials of trust, alignment, and growth. We bring all of these assets to the program here at Salt Security.

  • Trust is the foundation, and it provides the other elements. Trust in any relationship stems from integrity. Every partnership program I have started is based on “Partnering with Integrity”. It means we do what we say we will do; we are true to our word. Our team here builds trust all the time, in every interaction. We include the best practices of integrity and trust in our rules of engagement, in our processes such as recording transactions and in all our actions.
  • Alignment is the mechanics of how we work together. Alignment of objectives for the client. Alignment of goals for our joint venture. Alignment of marketing activities. Alignment of skills enablement, both business and technical. Alignment in our collective definition of success.
  • Growth is the reward for work done in trust and alignment. This includes reviewing and planning how best to solve customer problems, grow our partners’ business, and therefore grow Salt. We measure how much we and our partners have learned, and strive for continuous improvement.

You can see how our program’s Essential naming reflects our priorities. We are fortunate to have attracted the best to join us on this journey. They saw the power only salt provides protection their customers against the growing threat of API attacks. To our existing partners, thank you for joining us – we couldn’t do this without you.

I look forward to a fantastic year, an incredible race, lots of learning from and with our partners and in turn lots of things we will share in return. We are already building on an excellent track record of combined success, and as we expand the ranks of our joint customers, I look forward to savoring our journey together. Here we are!
