Venture Capital Syndicate TEN13 Launches Global Maverick Program

Venture capital syndicate TEN13 has announced the launch of its Maverick program which it claims provides investors with access to the highest quality investment opportunities in Australia and beyond.

TEN13 says its carefully selected angels, or “Mavericks”, will identify investment opportunities in startups around the world, before sharing the deal flow of the most disruptive companies with a wider syndicate of more than 500 sophisticated investors. .

TEN13 says Mavericks program founding team includes Australian serial entrepreneur Brendan’s Hillfounder-tour-operator of Kiwi origin Harrison Uffindell, and investment syndicate led by the founder Side Stage Companies.

“The Mavericks’ multicontinental investment experience spans decades and boasts success stories like Mr Yum, Calm and Carted. The trio have already brought Australian industry darlings Delegate Connect, Layer, QSIC, Heaps Normal, Africa’s PayHippo and Kippa, and LATAM’s most successful Series A fundraisers, Treinta, to the table, catapulting the company towards its goal of securing $100 million in funds under management. next year,” notes TEN13.

“With support from TEN13’s Investor Network of hundreds of investors, the Maverick Program will provide well-connected and knowledgeable angel investors with the capital needed to make significant investments in traditionally unreachable deals and build their experience as as emerging venture capitalists. This alternative approach also offers TEN13 investors access to a broader deal flow beyond their home country to increasingly disruptive markets like APAC, LATAM and Africa.

Stew Glynn, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of TEN13 – which recently raised $70 million to back 32 startups, – said, “Despite the bear market, we continued to deliver high-quality, high-return investment opportunities to our growing network of investors.

“By combining the firm’s network-based investment syndicate and back-end infrastructure with an intimate network of angel investors, our Mavericks program will enable unfettered access to a new world of investment opportunities. .

“The momentum we have already seen is a testament not only to the company’s agility to scale and enter new markets, but also to the extraordinary level of expertise and guidance provided by our Mavericks team, which we are extremely excited to welcome to TEN13. ”
